I recently had my wedding at the Pratt Place Inn and was promised numerous things by the Inn's staffer on several occasions. After a staff change, I brought up what the last Innkeeper had promised and wasn't told anything different.
Wedding day came, a/c was not working, trash had been left behind by the wedding the night before, staff seemed completely clueless to anything around him. The kitchen at the Inn is an unfinished mess, cake and decor was left behind from previous wedding(s), the refrigerators were packed to capacity so our caterers had to be creative with keeping things cool. The Barn on the property had a wedding the same evening and they started STEALING our food items out of the kitchen. Very poorly organized.
One of the things we were told, we'd have the Inn until 6am the following morning...but at 10:30pm, a staffer approached my mother, informing her we had an hour and a half to remove our items from the Inn. We had a later evening wedding, beginning at 7:30pm, and by the time we'd cut the cake, guests were helping pack up tables and chairs.
Another promise not kept - we rented a room because they assured us if we did, we could open the sitting areas and parlors for use during the wedding. False. They were roped off and we were told only guests staying at the Inn could use them.
After a long night of frustration, we retreated to our room. It was so uncomfortably hot, we complained 3 times before the Innkeeper brought us a portable a/c unit for our room and admittedly, he didn't know how to hook it up. We gave up and just left at 7am sharp, with the room hotter even than when we first checked in!
I wrote the Inn and asked for a refund of the ROOM ONLY. They declined. Our only option was to stay another night there so they could show us "4 Diamond Quality." We declined because we experienced first hand what a disgrace this Inn is. DO NOT STAY HERE. DO NOT GET MARRIED HERE. DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE! Awful, unfriendly and uneducated staff. It's unfortunate I cannot re-do my wedding, don't make the same mistake I did!

Our daughter and new son-in-law held their wedding reception in the newly refurbished barn behind the beautiful old Inn. Although a little pricey for our budget... They still offered the most "bang for our buck" as compared to so many other local venues. They allowed use of our own caterer, bartenders, liquor supply, etc. They worked closely with us to accommodate our every whim within reason ; ) The rooms in the Inn are large, lavish yet comfy and beautifully adorned. The staff is WONDERFUL! Charming, peaceful, a "hidden gem" just outside of the University of Arkansas campus and near famous Dixon Street for fine dining and musical delight! Ask for Rachel Kirksey if you are planning an event at the Inn or barn. She is delightful! Sincerely, Kim n Ralph Emery

The staff at Pratt Place Inn and barn was nothing short of phenomenal. The space is beyond beautiful and we got everything we wanted in a wedding venue. We rented the entire inn and barn, staying there Friday and Saturday night and having the barn Saturday at 8am through Monday at noon. Our vendors had plenty of time for set up and break down, and the event was really and truly beyond amazing. They could use someone who is meant to be an "event planner" who is just there at your event all night, almost helping run it for you, and I think they could make a killing offering someone like that to a wedding package. Just to be clear, I mean someone who is almost like a wedding or even planner. This isn't something that was *missing* that they should be offering, but something that I think they'd make a killing if they did offer it.
We loved Paul and Jacob and Isabella and Rachel and Sharon so much. The Archers are very wonderful people. The only thing that would make me change this review is if I don't get my deposit back :-)

The Pratt Place Inn & Barn was the perfect venue for our ceremony and reception! They even let me come up to the Inn before the wedding took place to take some bridal shots and allowed me to use one of the empty guest rooms to change in. They also allowed my bridesmaids and I to get ready in one of the rooms on the wedding day and to take pictures in the Inn before the ceremony. The boys were able to get ready downstairs before it started as well. The Inn Keepers are super helpful, and the owners of the property are spectacular to work with! We have become great friends with the owners, and I would recommend the barn or inn to anyone planning a wedding. Our wedding theme was fall, with leaves and twigs everywhere, and the barn was the perfect location for such a wedding. There is lots of room for parking, and our guests really enjoyed the wedding and atmosphere. Bathrooms are located inside the barn, and there are also several kitchens for catering and hiding those extra decorations and such. The location doubles as a reception site as well. Also amazing is the fact that 20 tables and 120 chairs are included in the rental fee. A+++ You have to have your wedding here!
