This is a beautiful venue, and we like that they educate the public about the use of native plants. However and Unfortunately, IF you are booking the 'simple' wedding ceremony, don't expect too much. We booked the Native Garden for 1:00-2:00, but they booked a large wedding at 1:30. We were told that we could not take photographs 'behind the arbor', and that they could not have "Just Anyone" (!) behind the arbor at that time!!
Yet, it was 'ok' that the larger wedding party showed up early, wandering around the gardens during OUR ceremony (although we had booked before them). (and yes, the larger wedding party were actually nice people).
On top of this, we had been told that the water (creek) in the garden would be operational, yet on the day of our wedding, when we asked about the water...we were treated like an annoyance. The water was not turned on.
All in all, they were unfriendly, unprofessional, and, yes, even snippy towards us.
We made the best of it....but...if you are not a booking a large wedding, then don't expect much!
they were very nice people, however we did not feel they communicated with us very well until the wedding day and we had already made plans that were apparently against the rules as far as the photographer. It added frustration to the day
