A Formal Affair

I bought a dress here and they were very wonderful with me and my bridesmaids. We found everything we needed including shoes and earrings!

I ordered my wedding dress from A Formal Affair in Batesville, Arkansas. Huge mistake! The first day that I went in the OWNER did not ask to help me but the person that came in after me she got up off her butt and helped. I left and stupidly went back the next day. I had done research online and found the dress that I wanted. It was from a company called Forever Yours. The dress was a bridesmaid dress that came in white with a navy blue sash just like a wedding dress I had looked at but it was less than half the price. A Formal Affair was the only place even remotely close that I could find that sold this line of dresses. The OWNER took my measurements and ordered the dress. I paid to rush ship and make the dress. The dress arrived 2 weeks before my wedding and did not fit. The owner had ordered the right size but the company called and said that they thought they needed to make it a smaller size. She told them ok. It was to late to get another dress. The OWNER did not really care and told me that she normally does not give people their money back but in my case she would. Never really offered any appology. She told me that thier was no way a seamtress could alter the dress to fit because it was several sizes to small. I called a wonderful seamstress Marsha who worked miracles and fixed my dress. I had to pay about $100.00 to have that done. I think the owner should have paid for that because it was her fault. So my dress ended up costing as much as the wedding dress I looked at to begin with. I WILL NEVER GET ANYTHING FROM A FORMAL AFFAIR EVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!
