In 2004, I married a wonderful man, in a tiny ceremony in my hometown. Unable to find a photographer I trusted, and hoping to save some money, I handed my cousin a point and shoot camera to get some photos of us.

This didn't end as badly as you might think. After all, my cousin is an artist. She took nice photos. She doesn't hate me for making her photograph something as important as a wedding, with a camera she just learned how to use. But, how I long for those lovely, beautifully lit, romantic images that professional photographers offer!

Every bride deserves to have beautiful photos of herself in her wedding dress, and beautiful photos of the most emotional moments of her wedding day. Every couple deserves to have their memories preserved so they can tell their story to their children and grandchildren.

I Am a Storyteller … And So Are You

Your wedding is not only part of your story, it tells the story of who you are as a couple. All the details, the interaction, the laughter and tears, is the outcome of who you are and the days, weeks and months leading up to your wedding. Moments created, scripted and posed by a photographer don’t do very much to capture that story.

As a photojournalist, I have spent my entire career capturing natural unscripted moments in many different situations, from boardrooms to natural disasters. Over the years, I developed a style that looks for artistic styling added to great moments, to create beautiful works of art from natural situations.

The result: A gorgeous album full of natural, storytelling moments from your wedding day.

As a member of the Arkansas Professional Photographers Association and the Professional Photographers of America, I have pledged to maintain a degree of professionalism and quality.

I spent many years educating myself about photography, and earned a degree in photojournalism from the University of Southern Mississippi. I take pride in the quality of my work and promise to never deliver anything to you that is not a professional quality image.

I Am Arkansas Wedding Photographer of the Year (Twice!)

For the second year in a row, I was named Arkansas Wedding Photographer of the Year, based on images submitted to the annual Arkansas Professional Photographer’s Association print competition. This competition is not a popularity contest; it is completely anonymous and judged solely on the quality of the work submitted. It is judged by prominent professional photographers from around the country.
